My daughter Jasmine and I have been learning to experiment with texture and color by weaving on a Saori loom. We have little expectation, no fear, and lots of fun.
At first, my significant other had images of Ulysses and Penelope. And then he realized I would be decorating our home and ourselves with this 'experimental' fabric - covering our table, windows, beds, and pillows...and then covering him in the form of scarves, hats, boleros, and such.
I will be sharing our family's experience with a loom of our own and the fabric we weave.
Jasmine happily designed and wove the fabric for this shrug.
